Converter thefts on the 6900 block of Worthington-Galena Road , the 600 block of Lakeview Plaza Boulevard , the 7000 and 6100 blocks of Huntley Road , the 400 block of East Wilson Bridge Road were reported overnight between Feb. 16 and 17. Another theft on the 6100 block of Huntley Road was reported the next day. An additional victim on the 400 block of Schrock Road said someone damaged the exhaust system of two company trucks, likely in an attempt to steal their catalytic converters. Comment?

A 24-year-old Columbus man faces five charges in the Franklin County Municipal Court after leading Worthington and Columbus police on a high-speed chase in the early morning of Feb. 7. Just after midnight, a Worthington officer stopped the suspect for going 51 mph in a 35-mph zone on state Route 161. He pulled the man over at Route 161 and Evening Street and was exiting his patrol car when the suspect drove off "at a high rate of speed," according to the report. Comment?

Worthington detectives are investigating the theft of nearly $5,000 worth of equipment from a construction site at 160 W. Wilson Bridge Road between the evening of Jan. 29 and the morning of Jan. 30. When workers arrived to the site the next day, they said, a 2500-foot spool of "wire" was missing. The wire was worth about $3,200. Comment?

A Worthington man called police in the early morning of Jan. 24, saying he was attacked by his ex-girlfriend at his residence on the 400 block of East North Street . The man told police his ex-girlfriend attacked him and his reconciled ex-wife with "fireplace shovels, pokers and tongs" about 2 a.m. while they were asleep. Comment?
