Police in Clark County are still looking for a fugitive who escaped in handcuffs Thursday after he was helped out of a deputy's patrol car. The sheriff's office says 26-year-old Cameron Petersen of Woodland was stopped on a stolen motorcycle Thursday afternoon outside a residence on Northeast Glory Trail Road in north Clark County. A 26-year-old Woodland, Washington man is on the run and may be still wearing handcuffs after escaping from a police car Thursday, the Clark County Sheriff's Office said. The Clark County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who escaped after he was handcuffed and placed in the back of a patrol car Thursday afternoon. The Sheriff's Office said the incident started around 1:30 p.m. near Pup Creek Road and Northeast Glory Trail Road when a deputy stopped an unlicensed motorcyclist. Comment?

A man who was principal of a school in the Cowlitz County town of Woodland for 15 years agreed to a diversion deal to avoid prosecution on allegations he used excessive force against a 9-year-old special needs student. The 50-year-old principal of Woodland Primary School was arrested in April for investigation of assault. Comment?
