You should get help from a Washington DUI/DUI lawyer as well as counsel from your home province in Canada, ASAP. DUI/...
I was in a car accident. I had no insurance. I've been working w/ the other party's insurance company. They are not seeking money yet, claim is still open. I get a Notice of License Suspension from the DOL. The ins company did not request this. DOL said it was from the other party and they didn't disclose an ins company was handling the case and it appears as though they're trying to double collect from me. DOL said to have the ins company submit a letter stating they are handling the claim, claim still open and they will collect from me after the claim is settled. Insurance company submitted the letter to DOL. I called DOL to verify they rec'd letter. They stated yes, I'm clear, my license is not scheduled to be suspended. Checked DOL website, license suspended any way? What do I do now?
Was this in regard to a DUI? If so, you have 20 days from the date of the arrest to challenge the automatic suspension....

"Clear" does not mean that you have a valid license. Even if your license is clear after suspension, you still have to...
So I couldn't wait to see the results. And it did do that but to my surprise the results showed I had methamphetamine and amphetamine in my system. After doing a little research into how this could happen the only thing I can come up with is False positives from my Medications. The main one being my armodafinil 250mg. I was tired from a long day in the suns at wildwaves with my nieces. I took two armodafinil hoping to help me be alert for the 150 mile drive home. I also take a few different medications that do not affect my driving. I found some of my other meds also can result in a false positive. I shouldn't have been driving as tired as I was. I did make Brooklyn a 15year old who came along with us aware of my situation and told her she needed to help by talking with me but still I s
You need an attorney to fight this for you. Talk to a DUI attorney in your area or the area that you were arrested for...
I'm a minor who may get charged with minor operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence or something along those lines. I have a completely clean record. The plea deal asks for 2 years of probation though we're trying to get it lowered. There's only one night of jail time to be served with the plea deal.
When you say "we" are trying to get it lowered do you mean that you have an attorney working on your case currently?
I got a DUI 11 years ago and am required to get alcohol assessment/treatment, be compliant, and pay fees and fines, as well as retake driving test. I was wondering if I could get an ignition interlock instead of the treatment.? If so, how do I go about doing so? I heard that low income people can get help paying for the installation and service of the the device. Is this true? What is the usual amount of the device?
The alcohol assessment and treatment isn't going away. You will have to do it. The issue of gettting an Ignition...
My DUI happened over 11 years ago. In order to get my license reinstated in Washington state I must get assessment for treatment, show I'm compliant, and pay my fines as well as retake driving test. Will the requirement to do treatment ever be diminished. For example, my brother had to get an ignition interlock for 2 years because he had 2 DUI's. Not until nearly a year after his judgement did he get the interlock on his ignition which only left him with 1 year. I have not got in any trouble since then and really don't want to be in a program for an entire 9-12 months for something that happened so long ago. Can a Judge overturn or change the verdict? Do I have any options other than treatment? Any suggestions?
Looks like this was posted a couple of times last night. Good Luck
