Convicted murderer and alleged city gang leader Donald "Amen" Raynor pleaded guilty to four firearms charges Wednesday as part of a plea agreement with state prosecutors to resolve the remaining cases against him. Raynor, 29, is currently serving a 60-year prison term for the murder of rival gang member Delano Gray and was facing more than 40 charges in other cases, according to court records. Comment?

James Liss, a former state Military Department supervisor accused of falsifying time cards, stealing gasoline and other offenses, will face a public hearing, and possibly tens of thousands of dollars in fines, following a probable-cause finding that he violated state ethics rules. Liss, 60, a building superintendent at Camp Hartell in Windsor Locks until he was fired in January 2014, was arrested in September, and granted accelerated rehabilitation in January to resolve criminal charges. 1 comment

Windsor Locks police interrupted a burglary-in-progress early this morning at Fox Hill Automotive and apprehended the suspect after finding him hiding under a truck. Police responded to the report of a burglary-in-progress at 6:03 a.m. on Thursday morning at 466 Spring Street. Comment?
