I was found guilty of driving under the influence in Missouri. My only sentence was to complete a SATOP (substance abuse traffic offense program), ie no suspended imposition of sentence or probation. This means that I'll be able to get a valid Missouri driver's license soon, and be done with it as far as Missouri is concerned.
I'd like to move to Virginia, however Virginia's first time offense for DUI requires that your license be suspended for 1 year. If I move to Virginia after restoring my Missouri license, will I be able to get a Virginia license? I'll have served my Missouri sentence, but still be within the one year Virginia requires.

i had a driver license in new Mexico and i am trying to apply my license in Virginia but the dmv told me that new Mexico have a issue with my license so they are not allow to give me license until i fix the issue with new Mexico DMV . i just pull out my driver record and it say " CANCELLED FOR MISREPRESENTATION OF IDENTITY OR FACTS TO OBTAIN A NM DRIVER LICENSE " so what should i do now to be able to get my license back ? thanks

My friend was arrested for a dui. The feds put a detainer on him but have not charged him with anything. He's been in jail for a month now so the local court should let him go on time served. How long can they keep him before they actually have to serve him? Could the detainer be lifted?
