I was recently arrested for a DUI after crashing my car into a snow bank. This is my first offense, and it was simply a result of foolishly not eating at all before, during, or after drinking. Thankfully no other person or property was damaged except my car. However, I'm worried that there may have been rolling papers in my car at the time of my arrest. As far as I know, there were no illegal substances in the car, but I'm worried that the presence of rolling papers might imply I was under the influence of drugs, which I was not. Is it possible that the presence of rolling papers could be used against me, even without the presence of illegal substances? How can I prove that I wasn't under the influence of drugs in the event that illegal substances were in my car without my knowledge?
Unless the rolling papers are specifically mentioned in your police report I would not think that they would become an...
Let's say in Connecticut that someone is arrested for a DUI. They go to their arraignment and the DUI is dismissed the but moving violation they received along with the DUI was nolled. Does that mean, according the the Erasure Law, that the charge is completely off the record after 20 days and nobody, such as potential employers, can see it? The ticket, as I understand, will be active for 13 months.
You are correct the dismissal will take 20 days to enter, while the nolle will take 13 months to drop off
I had two other tickets 4 years ago i played them

I was arrested for a DUI in October of 2013. My license is still suspended because I do not have a car and can't afford the fees at the moment. I'm moving from CT to NC. Can I apply for a new license in NC or do I need to pay restoration in CT before I can get a license anywhere else even though I don't own a car?
DMVs provide information to each other. If you have a suspension in one state, other states are likely to not give you...
Got one dui
More information is needed, but you certainly could add one to a car on your own.
What do I do to avoid jail? I have alot going good and don't want this mishap to mess everything up.
The first thing you do in order to gain the most favorable outcome is consult a lawyer who is experienced in DWI and...
Been here for many years on expired visa. Been married for many years. I know that i could apply for I-130 and I485. My concern here is I was pulled over after my visa was expired for a DUI twice, and also numerous times with driving without a license. For these events I had to pay tickets. This may be due to the fact that i was here illegally and never able to go to court. Being that i was fined for these events will they interfere with me obtaining a green card? any other concerns from a situation like this? risk for being denied green card and facing deportation?
Meet with an immigration lawyer and file for a green card- those things don't make you ineligible, unless there are...
