Husband had shoulder surgery 5 weeks ago and was told to be off work for 12 weeks. I am the only source of income until he can go back to work and I am afraid I may lose my job as I am a seasonal worker and employment is just picking back up. Would a judge continue this matter until my husband can return to work? I'm not trying to avoid the jail time or plead not guilty, I just want to keep from losing everything in the meantime. Court is tomorrow and I have been appointed a public defender whom I've tried contacting a few times with no luck. Tomorrow will be the first time I can speak with him to ask him where I stand. Please share your thoughts! Thank you.
I would have a long talk with your attorney, explain to him what is going on, and hopefully he can convince the judge...

I had old warrents from years ago then I moved back & got pulled over & I got arrested for them since then I've paid what I could on them I think I have warrents out but need my license to make it too work
If you have warrants, any agency that sees them can have you arrested.
This is simply a question about a friend of mine who had borrowed my car & proceeded to get a DUI while driving it. The cops did
This is 2nd time I have submitted this question. Your mess up has been turned around to be my fault. If I get no satisfaction this time will never use AVVO again. It is most unusual for you to make a mistake of this magnitude & then blame me for it. Here is what happened. Both my dear friend's cars wee DOWN. I allowed him to borrow mine. He proceeded to get a DUI. The cops did not take him to jail nor did they impound my car. I have ONE vehicle & obviously depend on such. My question is he goes to Court on January 9th. Can my car be impounded after the fact? Simple as that. Try not to let this get messed up.
I am sorry that something happened to your question that it went unanswered- There should be no reason for your...
Recently both vehicles belonging to my friend were down. I allowed him to borrow my car which is my only vehicle. While driving
Recently my friend borrowed my car as both his vehicle were down. While driving my car he got a DUI. The Highway Patrol did not arrest him nor did they confiscate m;y vehicle. I just found out about this incident which occurred in October. Can the judicial system confiscate my car after the fact? I am a little old lady of 67 who lives on a fixed income.
Could you provide more information: When you say he was not arrested, do you mean they let him go without a ticket?...
Can a DUI conviction from two n a half years ago be reduced to reckless driving? I'm trying to get my license back.
I got convicted of a DUI in Arkansas back in 2012. But at the time I still had a Illinois drivers license so it also registered in Illinois. So my license is revoked until 2018. Even though I did what was required of the state of Arkansas and paid all off my fines, and also I'm not suspended in Arkansas any longer, I'm still suspended in Illinois. And I've lived in Arkansas for five years now and cant get a license here because of illinois. And i need my car for work. But the DMV in Illinois said the only way that they can drop the revocation is if I can get the conviction in Arkansas reduced to reckless driving. Because reckless driving isnot a felony in iIllinois.
The answer is no as to "reduction of charge" as it applies to the Arkansas conviction.
I gave a urine sample twice for my work and they did not read a temp. The second sample was monitored management .
Caused of tampering witha urine sample at Tyson foods. These test are suppose to be random yet I've been tested twice in the last 2 months when no one else was tested twice.
I don't really see how this is a criminal law question, as it looks more like an employment law question. If so, you...
