Recently charged with a dwi....had a previous dwi where i found out a year or so later that my lawyer got disbarred would.....
Would this affect or even be an asset in defense of this current charge? He apparently assulted a client and had a felony possesion charge. I only used him for this 1st dwi charge 13 years ago..
Based on what you wrote, no. You should hire a licensed Missouri criminal defense attorney to assist you with this new...
I just got my LDP yesterday and today I got pulled over and given a speeding ticket by a Missouri state trooper. (78 in a 60) I understand that if I can get the ticket amended to a non moving violation, the Department of Revenue will not be notified and I will not get my hardship license revoked. However, since I am driving on with LDP after getting 2 DUI convictions, and just granted this LDP so recently, how likely is it that I will be able to get the ticket amended? I had not driven for two years of a 5 year revocation and will not be fully reinstated until 2017. Please help.
In many of the local jurisdictions, getting a speeding ticket amended to a non-moving violation is a very...
I received a physical control charge in Ohio, but i live in Missouri. Will Missouri treat this as a DUI?
charge was reduced, also received wrong way in a one way.
If the Missouri Department of Revenue receives notification of a Missouri driver receiving a conviction for a point-...
I have a suspended imposition of sentence. Is there anything I can ever do that can completely wipe my record?
I have a suspended imposition of sentence for a DWI that I pled guilty to 3 years ago. I am also going into the field of nursing so I know that I have to report my suspended imposition of sentence and the fact that I pled guilty to the nursing licensure board and on job applications. From what I have read, the nursing state licensure board also requires you to report any criminal record to them and on job applications even after it is expunged. Is there ANYTHING at all that can be done at some point besides expungement so I don't ever have to report it again, or is this going to haunt me for the rest of my life?
Please review Section 577.054, RSMo. The best way is to google Missouri Revised Statutes. You can then go down to...
My license was revoked for a dui. I have served the time without my license and what is the easiest way to get it back
I attended state paid rehab and have not had a drink for over 2 years. I attend AA regularly and yet I can't seem to get my license back. What kind of a lawyer should I hire to fix this and what cost is involved?
This is difficult to answer without knowing your full criminal/administrative history. The easiest thing for you to do...
I am graduating from nursing school soon & will be applying for jobs & I really can't stand the thought of losing job opportunities because I have to say I pled guilty to my dumb mistake-DWI. Especially since I probably do better things for man kind than a lot of non-criminals out there. Also, my lawyer at the time said that even when my record is expunged in 10 years I will still have to report my SIS & that I pled guilty to a misdemeanor on job applications because the medical field has a more extensive background check than most professions (like the record the judge will pull up to use against me if I ever do anything criminal ever again). Is this true? It's so unfair that one mistake in your life could cost you everything for the rest of your life & theres nothing that can ever fix it
As to your main question about expunging your first DWI, no I do not believe there are currently any exceptions to the...
DWI crippled me financially & now I can't pay off the last of the court costs. Can I get an out of state license with warrants?
When I was 21 (I am 26 now) while driving drunk, hit a parked car & they took my license. I immediately went to the required SATOP classes, and dumped all of my money (along with anything my family would help with) into the case. I chose not to do community service and instead they took my license away for a year. However, since I was never able to pay off the last of the court costs, (last I checked I have a $1,200 bond) I never tried to get my license reinstated. Now, several years later I live in Chicago, IL. I want to get a license but don't know if I'm allowed to w/ a warrant in St. Louis, MO. On top of that I want to clear my record but worry about being thrown in jail for something a younger & more reckless me did. This mistake has held me back a LOT over the years & I want it fixed
You should hire an attoreny who works in the County where your case was. If you can pay the fines, pay them off. See...
