Police searching a Garfield Township home Wednesday as they continued to investigate an alleged attempted murder and drug overdose at Munson Medical Center found $10,000 worth of crack cocaine and $3,500 in cash inside the home, police say. A 64-year-old Traverse City man and a 22-year-old Muskegon woman were arrested after the search and face numerous felony charges. Comment?

Authorities have filed charges against two people they accuse of injecting a drug overdose into a woman while she was a patient at a Traverse City hospital. Grand Traverse County Prosecutor Bob Cooney says he filed drug delivery and conspiracy charges against 32-year-old Steven Sulz and 35-year-old Renee Huckle. Comment?

Following the conviction of former Leelanau County prosecutor Clarence Gomery for attempting to have a rival attorney killed, the man whom he solicited to do the deed has been arrested. Dale Fisher, whom Gomery asked to kill Traverse City attorney Christopher Cooke, is facing charges related to retail fraud and ongoing criminal behavior, law enforcement officials said in a news release on Wednesday. Traverse City area attorney Christopher Cooke, who was targeted by a former northern Michigan prosecutor for death, lashed out at the man in a courtroom Thursday, March 5. "Mr. Fisher was talking about reducing my head to a pink mist, and that was fine with you," Cooke said as he looked at Clarence Gomery. "You were fine with the idea I would be shot to death in front of my family, my wife and my daughter. Comment?
