Would I have a case against a former employer for harassment I have recieved drunk and threatening texts on my phone?
I have all the message threads saved on my phone and I got fired on the account of my boss suddenly changing his mind and not telling me about it first even though I would recieve texts from him all day whenever I wasnt at work.
Report it to the police. If it persists, get a restraining order. A lawsuit would likely be fruitless.

You should speak with an attorney who has handled these particular types of cases and is familiar with the recent cases...
In a short three year timespan after my divorce I engaged in some self destructive behavior and made some very ignorant choices, arrested and convicted of DUI three times. Prior to this period of being brain dead I had no prior police record other than a few minor moving violations.
unfortunately, the answer is no. Motor vehicle crimes and multiple crimes are both ineligible for expungement in...
I was arrested over 2 years ago for a DUI, and the case is still pending. I am searching for a new lawyer and should be going to trial within 2 months. I paid my attorney a good amount of money as a flat rate to include everything up til trial, with the agreement that if the case goes to trial, another flat rate would be paid. We were able to suppress a lot of key evidence, including all of my statements and the breathalyzer. The prosecution offered a plea bargain (careless driving), and I refused, because I have a very strong case that might actually win at trial. My attorney thought I should take the plea, and asked to be removed from my case (which the judge granted). It this reasonable and normal, or a violation of ethics?
Yes an attorney can move to withdraw at any time and if the judge allows it, which in your case they did. Are you...

Seriously thinking trial, have gone before not my first rodeo...I'm thinking about going to rehab to maybe offset some jail time I might be given if I lose and to fulfill some of the rehabilitation requirements...Please I need some advice about this situation...THANKS A LOT!
Rehab is a good idea. Get the best DUI attorney that you can afford. May 13 is just around the corner. It will take...
I have an upcoming trial for a DUI offense. I have previously been offered a careless driving plea bargain, but think I can win at trial. Somebody advised me that if I didn't accept the plea bargain for careless, the prosecution can always add it at trial ; meaning that the jury will have to decide if I am innocent, guilty of a DUI, or responsible of careless driving. Is this true? Legal? Anything I can do to avoid this? I have a strong case, but I don't want a jury to avoid a true decision by splitting the baby and finding me responsible for careless.
Possible? Yes, I suppose so. Athough I've never heard of it. You could avoid it by admitting responsibility or take the...
Is there any chance that a prosecutor would ever work out a deal for a young person on an OWPD charge?
Most prosecutors will offer a reduction as an incentive to avoid trial. Keep in mind, it will still be a substance-...
