WYCKOFF -- A man who threatened a township merchant was caught with a gun, paper with the business owner's home address and the names of his wife, children, parents, sister and even the family dog, police said Friday. Christopher J. Batis, 42, of Stormville, New York, went to the unnamed business Thursday morning to collect a purported debt, according to police Chief Benjamin C. Fox. Comment?

A 42-year-old Stormville, N.Y., man is accused of threatening a West Main Street business owner over an alleged debt Thursday morning. Christopher J. Batis allegedly told the businessman, "This is not the way it works, and you won't like the next visit," and had a piece of paper with the victim's home address and the names of his wife, children, parents, sister and dog, Chief Benjamin C. Christopher Batis, 42, had a loaded .380-caliber handgun on him, and told the business owner: 'you won't like the next visit.' A New York man was charged with extortion after he allegedly threatened and attempted to collect a $7,000 debt from a business owner Thursday, police said. Comment?
