A 17-year-old suspect allegedly crashed a car through a fence and into the back deck of a Sterling home, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The teen, of Sterling, faces charges of auto theft, felony hit and run and underage possession of alcohol. Comment?

The Arlington County Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit has charged a suspect after he provided a false identity following a seven-hour barricade situation that ended in the early morning hours last Wednesday. Mora Long, 26, of Sterling, was charged with assault on a police officer, providing false identity to law enforcement, four counts of forging a public document and identity theft. Comment?

A Reston basketball coach who pleaded no contest in June to sexually assaulting a minor, was sentenced in Loudoun County last week to 15 years in prison. Marlow Mikassas Afshartous, 40, who also goes by the name Marlow Talley, was arrested Aug. 3, 2013, and charged with sexual assault and solicitation of child pornography. Comment?

Marcos A. Guevara, 21 and Wilber Escobar, 18, both of Sterling, were charged with malicious wounding by mob, malicious wounding, and attempted robbery. The assault occurred Saturday, Aug. 23 when the suspects approached the victim on a pathway near the 150 block of Enterprise Street in Sterling. Comment?
