It was standing room only at the March 16 Lakemore Village Council meeting, as about 30 residents rallied to voice their concerns regarding a proposed, grant-funded hike and bike trail to run through the Springfield Lake neighborhood. Spartan Trail would be constructed through property owned by the village, within Hinton-Humiston Memorial Water Works Park, and eventually connect the park, Springfield High School and Springfield Lake, Mayor Rick Justice has said. The Urbana Police Division has identified two people of interest in a bank robbery from earlier this month and asks for residents' help in locating them. In information released Tuesday, Urbana Police Chief Matt Lingrell states that police are continuing their investigation into a March 5 robbery at an ATM machine outside Security National Bank, 828 Scioto St. At 9:06 a.m. on March 5, two bank employees were outside the bank when they were approached by a man wearing a stocking over his face. Comment?

A grand jury in west-central Ohio has indicted a man on a charge of involuntary manslaughter for allegedly selling heroin to a person who then suffered a fatal overdose. Officials in Clark County said Tuesday that 24-year-old Lucas Fowler also was indicted on a charge of drug trafficking. Comment?
