If you are convicted of a second DUI within 5 years, the court must impose a mandatory jail sentence. Bear in mind...
A friend of a friend received a DUI and plead down to Reckless driving to avoid DUI sentence. She was placed on Probation with one of the terms being not to consume alcohol for 24 months. She is constantly violating parole. There are pics of her drinking, she has been seen in stores buying alcohol, and my concern is that her children are around because they tell people about how their "mommy drinks wine" all the time. If I reported these concerns to the probation officer, would if be enough to get him interested enough to investigate and possibly alcohol test her? Or is there some other way I can report the violation so that someone looks into it? She has kids, and should not be drinking around them, or illegally drinking and violating probation.

I am from Canada and was visiting Washington State when I was charged with DUI,I did return for my court date and pleaded guilty,however the judge asked if I had a lawyer and I told him no.He asked why I was pleading guilty and I told him all the facts were right there and I just wanted to deal with it.He said he would get back to me after he went through the rest of the docket. When he got back to me I asked him what I" could" get for a conviction he told me , Up to 1 year in jail,$1500 fine ,1 year license suspension. This scared me so I changed my plea to not guilty and told him that I thought maybe I should get a lawyer, he set another court date for 2 weeks later,which I never appeared for.There was no accident or injuries I was pulled over for swerving at a slow speed

I got a withheld judgment for a Dui in the state of Idaho and my license was suspended there and I'm paying fines, now got a letter from WA DMV supending my license even though i haven't been officially convicted of the DUI. Is there anyway to avoid the suspension in WA?
What is probably happening is that Washington has a report from Idaho that some administrative action there occurred....

Yes even though the prior DUIs are outside the time frame (seven years) where they will count as priors for a mandatory...
