The Southbury teenager accused of sexually assaulting a girl he was babysitting in 2010 accepted a plea agreement on Monday of two years and one day in prison and 15 years of probation, the Republican-American reports. In exchange, the teenager, Joseph Keller, 18, acknowledged that the state has enough evidence to convict him of second-degree sexual assault. Comment?

Local police, ambulance, and Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue volunteers converged on a crash scene on Albert's Hill Road near the Walnut Tree Hill intersection just before 3 pm on October 15. The Ford Escape SUV involved appeared to be heading north on Albert's Hill Road before the unidentified driver clipped a utility pole causing the vehicle to veer off the road, down a steep embankment, causing it to flip on its roof. Firefighters were able to free the single occupant who was transported to Danbury Hospital. Comment?

Investigators are seeking to find the identity and the motivations of a man who went on a stabbing rampage onboard a bus headed to the Mohegan Sun casino on Tuesday night. State Trooper Marc O'Mara confronted the knife-wielding suspect and shot him dead while inadvertently wounding a passenger who had been tussling with the assailant during the bizarre melee that spilled from the bus onto Interstate 95 in Norwalk, police said Wednesday. State police have released new information about a trooper's fatal shooting of an armed suspect on a tour bus on I-95 northbound in Norwalk late Tuesday night. State Police released the name of the trooper who shot the suspect: Trooper First Class Marc O'Mara. Comment?
