Hadley police will be seeking an arrest warrant following a theft at the Hampshire Mall Target store, that was caught on surveillance video. Hadley police posted on their official Facebook page that they're requesting the warrant for a 57 year-old woman from Agawam, who they say used her 25 year-old daughter to steal toys from the store. Comment?

Police are seeking a warrant for the arrest of a 57-year-old Agawam resident who allegedly used her daughter with Down Syndrome to carry out a larceny charges at Target, according to the police Facebook page . According to the posting, a customer observed what appeared to be a theft. Comment?

A former Bridgeport police officer gets arrested twice for DUI on the same day he goes before a judge on a previous DUI. John Biehn was in court on Monday in Vernon to face a DUI charge from July, but minutes after he gets out of court, police say they stopped him again for DUI on Route 83. Biehn was booked and released on bail in Vernon. Comment?

Richard J. Shenkman, who is serving a 70-year sentence for kidnapping his ex-wife at gunpoint five years ago and holding her hostage at his South Windsor home, has lost an appeal of his conviction. The state Appellate Court upheld Shenkman's conviction in an opinion that is set to be published officially on Dec. 9. Shenkman, who is now 65, was sentenced to 70 years in prison in 2012 after a Hartford jury rejected his plea that he was not guilty by reason of insanity when he kidnapped Nancy Tyler, held her hostage for 13 hours and set fire to his home after she escaped. Comment?
