A former resident of Marlborough has been sentenced to five years in prison for robbing five Connecticut pharmacies in 2013. On Monday, U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill sentenced 53-year-old David Haney to five years imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release for robbing the pharmacies. Comment?

A Marlborough man whose addiction to narcotic painkillers drove him to rob five pharmacies last year was sentenced Monday to five years in prison and three years of supervised release. David Haney, 53, robbed drug stores in South Windsor, Manchester, East Hartford, Meriden and Vernon and used most of the oxycodone pills he stole to feed his own addiction. Comment?
