My daughter a 19 year old KSU Sophomore went to Cleveland to celebrate the return of LeBron James during Cav's Home Opener last week. The establishment they were in was elbow to elbow so she and her friend who is 21stepped outside. Undercover police gave her friend a ticket for open container and told my daughter she would be receiving a citation for underage drinking in the mail. Why didn't they give her the citation then and there? What should she expect in court? The fine? The time? How much $$$ for a diversion program? How much $$ to retain an attorney? How much to expunge later if she cannot afford the attorney and diversion program?
