First Dui got 50 community service, 200$ fine, normal classes, and 2 days jail...I don't have money to pay for a counceler every week
You should write the Judge or ask your Attorney. The Judge may work with you, but individual therapy is not the same as...
I know I have messed up big time but now I really need help because I need to correct this and move on with my life. I got a DUI in Oklahoma when I was in the military at the end of 2010. I received a deferred sentence to the end of 2012. The terms were I was suppose to pay 2 separate fines of about $1500 each and take AA classes, plus an impact panel. I have since only completed the AA classes portion of that term, which I know is a huge mistake because it is now 2013 well past the deferred sentencing date. I have since left the military to live in Nevada where i'm from. This is my first ever time being in trouble I blew a .018 and was stopped before a DUI checkpoint. My question is where do I start in correcting this and how much trouble am I facing which I'm sure is a lot?
The best solution is to finish completing all the conditions. However, you need to hire a lawyer to quash the warrant...
The supreme court ruled that police must try to obtain a warrant to take blood from a suspected drunk driver. They said I refused the breathalyzer so they had my blood taken from me without consent and before I had even been arrested and handcuffed. The police never tried to get a warrant for it. Can I get my blood alcohol level thrown out because of this?
The statute permits drawing blood without a warrant if you refuse the breathalyzer.
My friend and I drove to Vegas from out of state . We drove his obviously older private limo . We went to dinner last night and were driving home at about 10 pm . I made a right . A COP was sitting at the opposing light . He pulled beside me at the next light . As I turned on to VB he moved behind me and the pulled me over . His initial question of me was why the car had out of state plates . There was no accusation of speeding , failing to yield or any other moving violation . Tags are current . Another officer began interrogating a passenger asking for their ID . Finally they made an out right accusation that we were operating a limo to transport prostitutes . Eventually we were let go and no tickets were issues . I spent 4 semesters in law school . Where is the probable cause for the stop ?
Based on your facts, it appears that the police had no reasonable suspicion to stop you. However, there is no real...
very tired worked 16+ hours, had not eatten all day, went to have dinner with friends, consummed three alabama slinger, felt further exhausted, felt the need to go home. ...Fell asleep at a light, put car in park. Paramedics tapped on window, asked if it were okay to take vitals, they did. Then they contacted the police, they ran a breathalyzer then hauled off to county detention center.
There are too many facts that should be considered in exploring defenses in your case. However, you should always...
I've recently reconnected with someone very important to me and I want to move her to Las Vegas from NJ. The problem is that she received a DUI a few months ago and it is her second offense. The court has sentenced her to 120 hours of community service and it looks as though she must complete a 16 week education course as well ( may be supplemented with a self help course according to the NJ site ). Since she's not actually incarcerated, it would seem reasonable that she could complete the court requirements here in NV after the move. Is this possible? What steps should we take to resolve this quickly?
She needs to be in contact with: (1) the attorney who handled her case or (2) if she had no attorney or did but...
I am still going to court over this and have not been convicted of anything. Since im being charged with a felony, my CCW was revoked. Once this is all done, if I am not convicted of a felony, can I get another CCW or will I automatically be turned away because of this?
If not convicted you should be able to get it back.
