A Harrison County man arrested after robbing two banks over the summer has entered into a plea deal regarding the first crime. As part of the deal, William Arney Amos, 35, of Shinnston, pleaded guilty Monday afternoon in Harrison County Circuit Court to a felony count of robbery in exchange for having one count of making threats of terrorist acts, conveying false information concerning terrorist acts and committing terrorist hoaxes dropped by the state. A weeks-long investigation by State Police led to the arrest of a Harrison County man on charges related to arson. Leroy Allen Williams, 26, of Meadowbrook, is alleged to have set fire to a Shinnston residence on December 29 after the victim reported the incident in person to Troopers at the Bridgeport detachment, showing visible burn injuries. Tensions were high in Tyler County Circuit Court Friday as a jury of his peers found Howard Paul Shriver, 35, of Shinnston, guilty of several charges, not the least of which being attempted murder in the second degree. Shriver was also found guilty of burglary, violation of a protection order, two counts of retaliation against a witness, unlawful restraint, three counts of domestic assault, and destruction of property. Donald Richardson Jordan, 25, and Willie Dukes, Jr., 47, who are charged with four counts of Wanton Endangerment Involving a Firearm, one count of Brandishing a Deadly Weapon, one count of Assault During the Commission of a Felony, one count of Malicious Assault and two counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. Back in August , after an argument between the family members near a residence in Clarksburg, Jordan opened fire on Dukes, who retaliated. Comment?
