I recieved a DUI on October 31, 2008. I was told by a CDL instructor that I must wait five years before expecting to get hired by a trucking firm. Must I wait the full five years or can I proceed to get the CDL now and get hired at the five year mark?
You should be able to get your CDL now. It is up to the company if they choose to hire you.
In 2007 I was arrested for 4th offense felony dui. In 2009 I was convicted and served my 120 days. I live in the country and want to start hunting again but don't want to ever get arrested for a felon with a firearm. Can this be undone. I still have my Iowa license so I figured that I am valid, but if I get pulled over will it show that I am valid? If so, only in Iowa?
