I just got 2 Ciations while driving at 2am in the morning, from a fittness center, I believe I was racial profiled.
I just got 2 UTC Electronic Ciations for driving at night first citation was "FAILURE /REFUSAL TO DISPLAY INSURANCE" and the second "IMPROPER LANE USAGE", I'll explain the situation I was looking for a 24hr resturant or McDonald's after trainingI a vehicle followed behind me I didnt worry much about it. As I was driving I was slowing down (35 in a 40 MHP) zone looking for a resturant. Then I began to drink my protein bottle and began drinking it, then the vehicle behind me flashed their lights. I pulled over, and then I waited for the office to step out of the vehicle I then displayed the protein bottle out of the driver's window. I was asked for Licience and Insurance, I did not have my insurnace with me. I was told I could appeal before the Judge and deal with it. Help???
These are the types of cases that an attorney may help individuals defend themselves against. A key aspect of the...
Driving with cancelled license.I was stopped at a checkpoint over a year ago in NC. I did the field sobriety tests and then took
a breath test where I blew a .09. They got a .09 on the first reading and on the following reading the machine said air block. So, the officer wrote down the .09 and also that I refused to take the test. In NC, if you refuse to take the breath test, they automatically suspend your license for 1 year (regardless of whether or not you are found innocent in court). I appealed the refusal to take the test with the DMV and my hearing was in April of 2012. I lost this hearing and my license was suspended in NC for 1 year from that date. They let Alabama know and the Alabama DMV told me that I cannot get my Alabama license back until NC reinstates my license. I got pulled over yesterday in Alabama (where I live) and I got a ticket for driving while cancelled. What should I do?
You will want an attorney to assist you. In many cases, your attorney can negotiate a favorable settlement in which you...
I am looking at the GA House Bill 336 knowing that I have two previous DUI dispositions in 2004 & 2008 in GA. I have an upcoming DUI case late 2013 with which I declined the road side field sobriety examination nor a breathalyzer test. The time between when I shall be in court in 2013 and the date of 2008 DUI's disposition shall be 5 years or more. Does this mean that I could be charged based on the new law GA House Bill 336 as a 1st in 5 and not a 3rd in 10? Also what effect would it be to a permanent resident status if it was a 3rd in 10? Secondly, if it is treated as a 1st in 5 but there are previous two convictions shall this also set alarm for immigration concern?
As for the GA law questions, I can not comment. As for the immigration question, it could be a problem ... you...
I received a DUI in MS. My license was suspended in TN, but I reside in AL. Since TN is not a member of DLC, can I get an AL DL?
I completed a court mandated program for MS (Mississippi Alcohol Safety Education Program) that reduced my suspension to 90 days. Does this transfer across state lines to Tennessee? Will I be able to now get my license back in Tennessee as long as I show completion of MASEP? Since TN is not a member of DLC (Driver's License Interstate Compact), what all does that mean for me having received a DUI in MS and currently residing in AL?
Why don't you just call or go into the licensing issuing agency and see if they will issue you a license? No downside...
I have a Valid NC licence on which I received a dui while visiting CO. In will be convicted April 11th and thus placed into the
NDR as suspended on this day. If I apply for an AL licence (my new state of residence) ASAP, get my paper temp in hand, will the NDR be checked again before my permanent licence is mailed to me or once the paper temp is issued does that pretty much guarantee that I will get my permanent licence in the mail?
More likely than not Alabama will know about the suspension or look. If so, then you will have to clear the suspension...
Do I need to include a DUI conviction from another state on a job application for a customer service job?
The DUI was in Georgia and I am applying for a job in Alabama.
It all depends on how the question is worded. If the question is worded "Have you ever been arrested?" then the answer...
I was pulled over for speeding in Gwinnett County. I was arrest for speeding and DUI less safe charge. I live in the state of Alabama but this happen in the state of Georgia. What should I do? I really can't afford lawyer. This is my first offense.
You should retain (hire) a good criminal defense lawyer that is licensed to practice law in Georgia, and more...
