The 13-year-old girl accused of starting the Cocos Fire, which destroyed nearly 40 San Marcos homes last May, will stand trial. The trial is scheduled to begin March 10 and will take place downtown, the San Diego County District Attorney's Office confirmed to NBC 7. The teen faces four felony charges , including two counts of arson of an inhabited structure or property in which multiple structures were burned and two counts of arson of a structure or forest land in a reckless manner. Comment?

A March 10 trial date was set Wednesday for a teenage girl accused of sparking a San Marcos-area wildfire that blackened nearly 2,000 acres and destroyed 40 structures, most of them homes. She will be back in court Feb. 19 for a readiness conference. Comment?

A man was arrested Wednesday morning in Vista after sheriff's deputies say he beat his wife with a dumbbell while she slept. The incident happened just before 4 a.m. in the 2200 block of Primrose Avenue. Comment?
