24D classes are close to three months long even for first offenders. I have not been to court and will not be soon. I am getting head start on classes. Obviously since it is out of state I do not need it to be 24D official. Just a class suitable for the Maryland Courts. The first offender classes in my DWI state are six weeks/twelve hours which is obviously much less. Online it says accelerated classes are available in MA. I am having trouble finding these accelerated versions online. I was hoping to find classes of a similar length to the state I had the offense in Additional information To clarify I am not looking for an online class, I was searching for an in person class online*
You should call a provider of the classes. One program's number is 978-373-1181, they should be able to explain...
on 2/20/12 i was stopped around noon for an expired inspection sticker. provided valid drivers license/reg/insurance.i was exercising my 4th amendment right to be silent while the cop was asking me questions and i would not roll my window down all the way.told to exit car, given 4 field sobriety tests and arrested on suspicion of oui.i have gout and a lazy eye but i was wrong in not telling the officer prior to tests.police had a dr. come in to evaluate me.spent an hour being examined and they let me go. the cop that arrested me took me to the impound, got my car out for free and didnt give me a ticket for the expired inspection.i was totally sober.exercising rights=probable cause and the angers me.
The officer stopped you for an expired inspection sticker, which was completely legal. He need only have reasonable...
My boyfriend and I got into an argument and I was so drunk that I was fighting him. He was trying to defend himself. I then stupidly got out of the car with no shoes and within a couple of minutes the police found me. I don't really remember what I told the police. My boyfriend then walked into the police station to get help to find me. Before I realized it they handcuffed him for assault and battery. He had scars and bruises from trying to defend himself. Is there anything I can do to help him out. Because they want to charge him.
Your boyfriend needs to get an attorney immediately. If your boyfriend is charged, the district attorney can't...
I had an oui back in 1995 that was continued without a finding for a year and dismissed in 1996,in 2010 I was charged with 2nd offense oui and the court appointed idiot assigned to my case never pulled my file to see the disposition in 1995 and I didn't know he had not looked into it and I don't know the laws so I received 2nd offense disposition did 10 days in jail,6 months of house arrest with an in home sobrietor, completed a 2nd offender 1yr program, completed another court ordered program and now after all of this my probation officer told me I have to go to a 2 week inpatient program that she forgot to send me to......its been almost a year and a half since I was sentenced and I've done everything they've asked of me,passed every drug test given to me and now this,I thought I was all done with all of this, can she still make me go thru this program??

He received a DUI in October of 2011 (in MA, but we live in RI), and he had to go through DUI classes (which he completed) and pay court fines of $990. He arranged to make payments for this, and has paid most of it, but it will be due in full on January 9. We fell behind because I lost my job of 10 years and have taken a few short term jobs over the past year, but it has been a tough year, and we aren't on any kind of assistance, and we are behind on bills with rent coming up just before the due date. I'm not sure how the court would see it based on our income, but right now he is the sole provider for all of us (including our 6 year old son.) Would they take that into consideration if he has to go back to court over this?
He needs to go to the court where he is on probationTHIS WEEK, and ask the court clerk to pull his file and put it on...
I am contacting you on behalf of my husband who is deployed to Afghanistan with the National Guard. He was pulled over in NH for a DWI in March of 2009, pleaded guilty, was charged with a first offense DWI, lost is license for 90 days, paid all the fines and completed the alcohol program. His license was reinstated in NH in Feb.of 2010. In Feb.2010 the RMV of Mass suspend his license for two years. He had a DWI in Mass in 1994. I am wondering if there is any way to get his license back. He deployed in January and should return in December. He is thinking of extending his tour because he will loose his job if he cannot drive when he returns. I have power of attorney to act on his behalf when he is gone and if anything can be done I would love to do it so he can return home. Thank You,
Hi, I would have to see the driving records from New Hampshire and from Massachusetts. In any event, it is likely...
i was stopped late at night for what seemed like no reason and the officer smelled marijuana that had been smoked about 4 hours beforehand. I guess he had enough probable cause to search the car where he found nothing except an old bottle of alcohol with almost nothing leftand a roach of marijuana. Im afraid if i try to fight the ticket the whole issue with the marijuana will impact the decision.
you are ahead of yourself. If the citation is only for the open container, then you maybe able to get it dismissed...
