A Little Egg Harbor Township man was arrested and charged with stealing money from cash registers at five area fast-food restaurants after an Absecon McDonald's employee blocked his escape and ended his run of crime. Cory J. Leuffgen, 31, of Little Egg Harbor, was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 after Absecon Police Officers received several 9-1-1 calls reporting a strong-arm robbery at McDonald's, 515 White Horse Pike. PLEASANTVILLE - A man charged with critically injuring a couple in a shooting last week is the son of a Pleasantville police officer, according to a report on PressofAtlanticCity.com. Andre Graves Byrd allegedly fired six shots at the victims as they left King's Super Food Market, a 24-hour store on Friday night, the report said. Comment?

The son of a Pleasantville police officer has been charged with the weekend ambush shooting of a couple as they walked along Main Street. Andre Graves Byrd, 25, of Pleasantville was charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges in connection with the shooting, according to Pleasantville Capt. Comment?
