I have two misdemeanor dui's on an otherwise clean record. I'm considering retiring and migrating to latin America.
I read that a retirement visa generally requires a copy of my police record. What steps can I take between now (age 53) and (age 60) to clear my record so that I'm not potentially refused entry to any country? ”
I like this question because entering foreign countries is something not often considered at the time a person pleads...
I got a DUI on vacation in state (z), blew .09, I have job offers in 2 states (a,b) but I live in state (x). My trail is about a month away, should I research the laws in states a,b and compare them to my home state x for punishment(s)?
State a, b & x are irrelevant. You committed the crime in z, so you should be worried about what the DUI statute says...
DUI while parked w/ keys in off position, blew 0, blood test: prescribed meds(didn't take that day). How 2 fight & keep license?
What kinds of questions will the Dept. of Transportation ask during the Administrative Hearing & what can I specifically do or say to keep my license? Blood results are also inconsistent, Dept. of Trans just shows my ADD med, while the prosecution shows a benzo..... I'm prescribed both and they also found the meds in my purse on which they then hung their hat on & arrested me., But I WAS NOT under the influence of anything! The worst thing I have going against me is that I was extremely sleep deprived so the audio is horrible!! It does sound like I'm on something!! What can I do to beat this seeing that I didn't do anything wrong?
I'm going to change your practice area to DUI in the hopes you get more answers to your questions from attorneys in...
