I got a DUI on vacation in state (z), blew .09, I have job offers in 2 states (a,b) but I live in state (x). My trail is about a month away, should I research the laws in states a,b and compare them to my home state x for punishment(s)?
State a, b & x are irrelevant. You committed the crime in z, so you should be worried about what the DUI statute says...
I was driving home after a night of drinking, My car broke down on the way home and a deputy stopped behind me to see what was wrong. i told him the battery was not charging and that my father was on his way to help me. After a few minutes the deputy came back and asked if my father was still coming. He then said have you been drinking. I told him i had a few drinks the night before and i had just woken up(7:30am) And that my father was almost here to help me get the car back home. The officer then did an eye test which i Failed with a 5. He then went back to his car then back to my car and asked me to get out of the vehicle. I took the line test and the Balance test. I Passed the balance test and he didn't say on the line test. Was booked for DUI Blew .165. What defense should i use?
There's no particular defense you can use. You need to hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to examine all...
never notified, found out through friend state trooper.
The facts are a bit thin here. Was it dismissed before they had the results of the blood? In any event, you should...
What kinds of questions will the Dept. of Transportation ask during the Administrative Hearing & what can I specifically do or say to keep my license? Blood results are also inconsistent, Dept. of Trans just shows my ADD med, while the prosecution shows a benzo..... I'm prescribed both and they also found the meds in my purse on which they then hung their hat on & arrested me., But I WAS NOT under the influence of anything! The worst thing I have going against me is that I was extremely sleep deprived so the audio is horrible!! It does sound like I'm on something!! What can I do to beat this seeing that I didn't do anything wrong?
I'm going to change your practice area to DUI in the hopes you get more answers to your questions from attorneys in...
I do not drink. The industrial commission took his word as gospel in the final report and awarded me less than the mediator had awarded me I saw this doctor for 25 seconds and in the end I received nothing for a broken back 4 operations the last 2 I paid for myself because they refused to pay for them so I went to mayo clinic and received a spinal stimulator to relieve pain and numbness since that time before the decision came down I herniated the same disc again which my lawyer did not want to disclose because he did not want to salat any longer for it had been 6 years since date of injury in the end only my lawyer and the surety got paid and I was left with a 200,000 bill and a destroyed back industrial commission wrote in final report that I had no right to appeal and that it was final
so you're saying, you didn't get one dollar? Not one dollar? I've read this twice and I don't see a question.
I know I need an experienced dui lawyer, but I don't have a lot of money. Are there any programs or anyone, anything, that will help me? I'm very overwhelmed and scared!
You might qualify for court-appointed counsel (public defender). The prosecution usually argues that the refusal...
I'm moving from CA to Idaho soon and have to get my teaching credential transferred. My DUI conviction hasn't been expunged yet, but should be by the time I move to Idaho. When I applied for a teaching credential in CA, I did fully disclose everything and was still able to apply (it was just a lot more difficult and drawn out). On the Idaho teaching credential application, it asks if I've ever been convicted of a misdemeanor. Do I need to answer yes even if my conviction has been expunged? In CA, I know you still have to answer yes because it's a teaching credential, but I don't know if its the same for Idaho.
If something is expunged, it is deleted from, wiped out from, erased from your record. That means that it is no longer...
