In a surprising turn of events on Monday afternoon, the Taylor brothers, Tabyus, 19, and Teandrey, 18, were released from jail after the robbery case against the two failed to hold up in Hopewell General District Court. Tabyus said those 72 days behind bars were hell, a waste of time, and will forever remain a life lesson for the former Hopewell High School football standout. Comment?

Dinwiddie County Sheriff's Department announced Thursday that two arrests have been in the nearly two-year-old murder of Corey Vann Mills. 32-year-oldy Cowarren Nathaniel Wiggins of the 25000 block of Greensville Avenue, North Dinwiddie, VA was charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The trial for the man who was charged with robbing and shooting another man behind the Goodwill store in Colonial Heights last June resulted in a mistrial when the jury could not come to a unanimous decision. Wayne Jackson, 22, of Petersburg, one of three defendants in the case, was tried separately by a jury in Colonial Heights Circuit Court last Tuesday for five charges including aggravated malicious wounding, robbery, the use of a firearm while committing a malicious wounding, the use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery and the conspiracy to commit robbery. A Petersburg man and Hopewell teen were injured in an overnight drive-by shooting, according to Hopewell Police. The shooting happened at about 2:21 a.m. Sunday along the 4000 block of Oaklawn Boulevard. Comment?
