A New Hampshire man accused of placing his girlfriend's 2-year-old son in a clothing dryer at her Bangor home and turning on the machine in August pleaded guilty Tuesday at the Penobscot Judicial Center to one count of aggravated assault. Adam Morton, 28, of Berlin, N.H., is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 2, according to MIchael Roberts, deputy district attorney for Penobscot County. Comment?

Patrick Albano, 39, was arrested Thursday, accused of inappropriately touching a 15-year-old girl on several occasions and then threatening to kill her if she told on him, according to court documents filed Friday at the Penobscot Judicial Center. The incidents took place while the girl's mother was in the hospital, according to affidavits prepared by Bangor police, who investigated complaints brought forward by the teenager, a friend she confided in and the friend's mother. A Bangor man accused of a stabbing in June and three motorists who allegedly led police on chases are among the people indicted Monday by the Penobscot County grand jury. Anthony Bowie, 25, was indicted on a charge of elevated aggravated assault in connection with a June 19 stabbing at the junction of Warren and Sanford streets in Bangor that left a 25-year-old male victim in serious condition . A Monson man arrested earlier this month on more than a dozen mostly domestic violence charges is back behind bars facing new charges that he violated conditions of his bail. Jared Clawson, 36, already was facing 16 charges as the result of an investigation that began earlier this month, when one of his alleged victims was interviewed by a district attorney's investigator.
