The recording made by an Ellsworth police officer that includes a family friend reporting that Christopher Saenz threatened to kill his wife two weeks before she died will be played Wednesday on the seventh day of his murder trial at the Penobscot Judicial Center. Saenz, 32 , of Ellsworth is accused of beating his wife, Hilary Saenz, 29, to death on Christmas Day in their Central Street apartment while their two children, then 12 and 8 years old, were in the home. Nichole Cable's mother is still waiting for her daughter's killer "to man up" and admit that he strangled the 15-year-old girl two years ago. "I need him to tell me and own up to what he did," Kristine Wiley said on Friday outside the Penobscot Judicial Center after Kyle Dube was sentenced to 60 years in prison for murder and kidnapping.
