PENNSAUKEN - A Camden man recently tried for assaulting his estranged wife was arrested Thursday for attacking her with a meat clever and utility knife, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. Fenton J. Carstarphen, 46, is accused of breaking into the victim's home on the 5500 block of Jefferson Avenue in Pennsauken around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Comment?

A Camden man is facing an attempted murder charge for allegedly attacking his estranged wife with a meat cleaver and utility knife Thursday morning. Fenton J. A man from Brooklyn, NY, has been sentenced to 39 years in prison for sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Camden and Gloucester counties, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo announced Monday evening. Hiram A. Celestine, 39, was convicted by a jury in July of five counts of sexual assault and one count each of criminal sexual contact, attempted sexual assault, harassment, resisting arrest and witness tampering. TRENTON Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor announced that a Camden County car salesman was sentenced to five years in state prison for attempting to defraud two insurance companies of more than $130,000 by reporting luxury vehicles stolen, even though he knew that the vehicles had been shipped to China. Steven Shore, 58, of Pennsauken, was sentenced by Camden County Superior Court Judge John T. Kelly, who ordered him to pay restitution in the amount of $68,220. Comment?

A Glassboro Police Department press release reported that two male burglars attempted a robbery at an apartment on West High Street just before the holiday weekend. One suspect was arrested shortly after the incident, but police are still searching for the second, according to the release. Comment?

GLASSBORO - An attempted robbery reported Wednesday at a West High Street apartment ended with one suspect under arrest and a second sought, borough police said. Police responded to the apartment on Nov. 26 for the report of a burglary and attempted robbery at the residence, which was occupied at the time. Comment?
