A man entered the TD Bank branch at 102 South Paramus Road around 6:15 p.m. and approached a teller, passing a note demanding money. The man "physically implied he was armed with a weapon" by placing his hand in his pocket, Chief Kenneth R. Ehrenberg said in a statement. Comment?

One of Bergen County's most wanted men has been captured by U.S. Marshals and was brought to the county jail Tuesday on charges of aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor. Homer Rhone Bishop pleaded guilty to the sexual assault charge but skipped to Jamaica, Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said in an email. Comment?

Two convicted burglars were sentenced Friday to prison terms for a Paramus home invasion that sparked a high-speed chase leading to the trial and acquittal of two Bergen County Police officers on evidence-tampering charges. Fraces Piserchia of Kenilworth received 10 years and his co-defendant, Carlos Camacho of Newark, was give a three-year term at their sentencing in state Superior Court in Hackensack. Comment?

A Union City man was charged with sexual assault incidents that allegedly took place in Hasbrouck Heights and Wood-Ridge, Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli said. Police arrested George E. Bolzoni, 27, on Feb. 9 on charges of sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Comment?

A benefit concert has been organized to fund much-needed repairs to the Old Paramus Reformed Church after more than 40 bullets were fired into the building in December. The church's choir will perform at the concert 3 p.m. Sunday, along with a brass ensemble and four soloists. Comment?

Two Bergen County men were arrested on the same day for separate incidents after police say they both allegedly engaged in inappropriate sexual activity with a minor. Daniel O'Brien, 38, of Saddle Brook, was arrested on Feb. 6 after his alleged 9-year-old victim told a coordinator from the NJ Child Abuse Prevention Program , who was speaking at her school, what had occurred, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Two Passaic County men were arrested Wednesday after police say they intended to sell six bricks of heroin at Garden State Plaza in Paramus. Maliek J. Cooper, 30, and James Cross, 32, both of Paterson, were arrested after a two month long investigation conducted by the Bergen County Narcotic Task Force, the Bergen County Sheriff's Office and the Paramus and Elmwood Park Police Departments discovered that Cooper and Cross were allegedly "dealing heroin on a regular basis," Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Sussex Borough has issued a precautionary boil water advisory to begin on Monday around 11 p.m. and tentatively lasting through Wednesday due to a previously unused water main being put into service around the Loomis Avenue bridge. Every year the Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center opens its doors to the public for the annual Open House, which usually takes place the weekend before Trout Season opens.
