Old Saybrook Law

I was incarcerated when the DMV sent my drivers license suspension letters now it's suspended "indefinitely" because I couldn't make the requirements set by them. When I couldn't due to being jailed. I have all of the paperwork showing my dates in jail. Can I show them this, meet the requirements & eventually get it back?
First, while I don't practice in your state, it appears to me that you should be able to get your license back if you...
I was arrested once 3 years ago for possession of marijuana before it was decriminalized and was required to take the Drug Education Program. I just got a DUI for marijuana. Is it possible that the case will not stay on my permanent record? Is my only hope that of proving I was not intoxicated? If I do not qualify for AEP again, is jail time and driver license suspension for a year certain?
Your prior use of the Drug Education Program will not impact your eligibility for the Alcohol Education Program. Also,...
I have been sober for over 20 yrs now and would like to obtain a pistol permit. will my duis from over twenty years ago prevent this?
The Connecticut permit to carry a pistol is a "privilege" not a right. Therefore, the state police can deny a permit...
I'll make this quick and avoid the rhetoric: I was pulled over for running a stop sign. Smell of marijuana was present. Backup was called, so the patrolman must have called the DRE. Failed the field sobriety test. My argument was that it was 20 degrees outside and I was freezing cold and very nervous. They brought me into the station and gave me a urine test. They also found a small amount of marijuana on me. I was indeed high earlier that night. Also I never admitted to being intoxicated. I did some research and the chemical tests are largely inconclusive as the metabolites stay in your system for weeks for moderate users such as myself. My family and I do not have a lot of money. If I hire an attorney, can we say that I most likely will not have my license suspended?
I view an attorney as a necessity in DUI cases. No one can ever provide you with percentages and if they do it is...
I was in a car accident last month...went to the hospital and learned have blood alcohol of .11. Have MS and doctors confirmed it was a contributing factor to the accident. Medically, I was advised not to drive until proper foot brace was obtained. Never had an offense before (except 1 speeding ticket). Not charged yet, but police want medical records. I requested them and if I don't turn them over, police will ask for a warrant. What advice do you have?
Hire an attorney! ASAP
Ticketed 2001, Got letter to appear in court 10-5-2011, license was suspended, was restored 2003.
Once you are ticketed, the statute of limitations no longer comes into play.
I am in my 1st mounth of a 2 year probation sentence on my 2nd dui. I got caught driving under suspension witch is a violation of my probation. what is the minimum sentence for this violation.
While I am not licensed in Connecticut, I would suggest you be more concerned with what is the maximum you would be...
