He has five prior convictions and now will go before the magistrate again. They were all related to his going back and forth to work (to pay fines which are now current). This most recent charge came while he was walking 1/4 mile from the vehicle and not driving. He was stopped by the officer because he has dreadlocks, (yes, I know). that night. as i am walking it down light st on to main st pass the police station 3 cop cars pull up and stop me. i right away put my hands up. the cop get out of his car and ask me what im doing i told him walking my recliner sofa home that my friend gave me. he said at this time i said yes rather walk it at 5am when no one is around than 5pm when everyone is up and about. long story shot he thought i stole it i told him no i did not if i may call the my friend. so i got ahold of my friend they drove me back to his house(on top of unit mart) to see if i was lieing or not when they seen i was not they gave me a public drunkenness they did not give me a breathalyzer test or nothing. can i fight this in court i can not afford the fine.
