A city man was sentenced to four months in jail on Monday for allegedly threatening patrons of a local bar with an electric stun gun. Jackee Daniels, 27, of Crossey Place, was illegally carrying a stun gun outside the Crystal Hard Hat on Canal Street last October and threatened to use the weapon on people who were standing outside of the bar, according to North Adams Police. Comment?

NORTH ADAMS >> A man accused in December of arbitrarily walking into city homes, unannounced, has been sentenced to one year of probation. In an agreement between prosecutors and his attorney, Brett McConnell, 19, of North Adams, will serve one year of probation for multiple instances in which city residents said the man just walked right into their homes. NORTH ADAMS >> Three Northern Berkshire men were held without bail on Monday for their alleged role in the brutal beating and stabbing of man in Adams last month. Daniel Chao, 38, of Adams, and Thomas Barrett, of Savoy, and Dean St. Jacques, of North Adams, both 24, allegedly waited for Joshua Deeley in a parked car near Temple Street and jumped him shortly after 2 a.m. Dec 27 and beat him in the head with a tire iron, two witnesses told police. James Miller, 47, of North Adams had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on four counts of indecent assault and battery on a person who has attained age 14. He was released on personal recognizance. The incidents allegedly occurred in North Adams between November 4, 2013 and December 25, 2013. Comment?

PITTSFIELD >> One of two inmates accused of a jailhouse attack on another prisoner has been sentenced to an additional 60 days after admitting his role in the crime. Brandon L. Smith, 19, of North Adams, jumped a shower stall and charged another inmate, Michael Hinckley, 25, of North Adams, inside the Berkshire County Jail & House of Correction's Segregation Unit on Nov. 30. Inmates are normally handcuffed while out of their cells for recreational time, but while showering, their handcuffs are removed. Comment?

Matthew Adrion, 24, of the Taconic Trail, Petersburgh, was one of two men who broke into the inn's basement arcade one October night and made away with a change machine worth thousands - and about $600 in quarters and bills inside, according to police.
