A Middlesboro woman was sentenced to 15 years in Bell Circuit Court on Monday after pleading guilty to a meth charge. According to the plea agreement, Gordon possessed equipment used for the manufacturing of meth on Nov. 4. She pleaded guilty on the meth charge on April 28. In other court news, an Arjay woman received her final sentence in circuit court on Monday after entering guilty pleas in April. Comment?

A Pineville man accused of having sexual contact with minors nearly 42 years ago pleaded guilty in Bell Circuit Court on Tuesday. James E. Gambrel, 70, pleaded guilty to second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and three counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Comment?

Two individuals accused of working together to steal merchandise from Walmart were indicted recently by the Bell County Grand Jury. Danny Brown, 26, of Middlesboro, was indicted for theft by deception under $500, three counts of second-degree criminal trespass, three counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500 and one count of second-degree robbery.
