Really want to join the fdny was even willing to getting my emt certificate to promote to fire fighter but I'm 28 now turning 29 in November and the last test was spring 2012 next one will be 2015 or 2016 won't meet the age requirements at that time and it's really upsetting me because I'm very interested in joining. Which route can I take, who can I write to that has the authority to waive the requirement? I'm not black or Latino I'm Caucasian just want the chance to take the test and go from there. If anybody can help me reach my goal of being a fdny ff I would highly appreciate it.
This is a guess but I imagine the Commissioner has the power to waive it.

You filed something with Probation or the Judge?
I have been in a custody dilute for a good year and a half. To make a long story short short Cause: I moved to PA in 2012 with no "consent". Effect: I lost my son to his father therefore that is why he has temporary custody. ( based on lies I might add). He was taken into the precinct for having a suspended license and continues to drive around with our son tree is not much I can do. The police won't help me. Would I be breaking any laws if I were to camp outside his house and record him in the act. Oh did I mention he lives in New York ? Can I use this against him at out custody trial ?
You should certainly discuss with your attorney whether this is something that would be useful to bring up. Driving...
I was being arrested for a suspended license. After officer handcuffed me he asked how much I drank. I said none. He said we will check in precinct (he didn't have machine with him). At precinct I asked officer to call my attorney who I work with and know number to. He said: you can call later you are not entitled to a call now. I got scared and refused. Then later again I asked and he said "later". Can this help me at a refusal hearing as per the Gursey case?
I don't have the Gursey case in front of me but you should have been allowed to call your lawyer under these facts.
I had a conviction for driving without insurance that was vacated and removed from my license a few months ago. The letter I received in the mail from says the revocation has been dismissed, however while I was fighting the conviction I obtained a restricted use license, and on the back of that paperwork it says that if my license was revoked for uninsured operation of a motor vehicle (which it was) then I need to pay an additional $750 before my license can be restored. I never got a new license in the mail so I'm wondering if I go to the DMV if they are going to want me to pay this $750 even though the conviction was removed from my driving record.
It is difficult getting the DMV Safety Office to reopen a closed case. Hire a criminal defense attorney so that he can...
