So this nightmare started back in April 2010. I got into a car accident and was charged with DUI & leaving the scene. I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. I got charged with leaving the scene because my car was more than 150ft from the original crash site but that was not from me trying to run. I also got charged with a DUI in the form of a ticket, no arrest was made as I was in the hospital. I go to court and I was 18 and my family wouldn't help me so I walked in and just plead guilty to get it over with. No lawyer. No public defender. Here we are 3 years later and I still don't have a license. When I went to finish my DUI school they needed to know what my BAC was. Ater going to the hospital, clerk of court, & pd, NONE of them have my BAC. I never blew. Lack of evidence/counsel?

My last DUI was 10 years ago and I have 4 in total. I had 3 in college back to back. I haven't had a drink in over 6 years. However, I was arrested about a year and a half ago on domestic charges that the prosecutor chose to not file because it just didn't happen. I got the police report yesterday and to find out that the woman that called the police also told them that I am a drug addict for crack cocaine. I have never taken any drugs and in the past 5 years have not had any alcohol, drug or traffic offenses. I'm going yo court this month. Lawyer said he tried getting reduced to reckless driving but state attorney wasn't having it. It is my first dui. Tested positive for xanax and marijuana. No alcohol. I was arrested a few years ago for misdemeanor possession of marijuana. I've seen people with worse cases getting caught with marijuana and also being drunk that received reckless driviving. Should I look into a better lawyer before court ?
