Can I start my DUI program classes before I have my court date? Additional questions in *details part*
If I am supposed to be working abroad and I don't have my court date until late February is there a way to start taking my DUI programs asap? is there a way to postpone the classes? and is there a way to push my court date up? I am supposed to be working abroad early next year and unfortunately this may cause a hinder :(. Any feedback will help. The main thing is I understand that the classes are at least 3 months for me being a first time offender. I am trying to do ANYTHING I can... I do understand the holidays are right now and it's quite busy, but again, any professional feedback would be so appreciated.
Hire a DUI attorney. He/she will know what to do and how to advise you.
Woke up strapped to a gurney in ER with a cop. Last I remembered I was driving out of a motel parking lot. Officer gave me a citation for VC 23152 (a)(b). Cop said I hit a patrol car. Car I was driving was impounded. I had bruises on both arms where needle marks were with dried blood. A bloody lip and really swollen half bit tongue. Release papers said accidental overdose and no labs done. I called ER and asked what I overdosed on they said they went by emt report which said they found me on curb where I told them I had a beer and soma. I got a copy of medical records, said emt arrived first to me slumped over in driver seat, cop showed up after. I only showed signs of fatigue and depression and said injuries. No lab results. No mention of any accident. Said I kept asking what happened.
Your blood test results and facts are indications that you were under the influence when you drove. Get an attorney to...
A cop arrested me for me refusing to show him my ID at a bar. Will I win in court?
You have not set forth enough facts. This is posted under DUI. Were you charged with DUI? Disorderly conduct? Public...
I just got arrested on 10/12/13 for DUI this is my second offense. The first one was eight years ago.
There was a object on the freeway that broke the tire and then hit the metal curb guard (it was the connection of the 710 and 405) no collision with other car. I couldn't find my cellphone to get help and after waiting for a while and no one showed up to help I decided to walk. I was then picked up by CHP on the 405 freeway about 1.5 to 2 miles from the car. Accident happened about 2:00 am picked up by CHP close to 3:45 am. Booking time 4:39 am in Long Beach City Jail. What are my options? Thanks for advise!
Depending on your BAC certain issues could potentially be disputed. Based on the facts and timing of your case your...
I am at the mercy of representing myself at a DMV DUI hearing. I had visited a business that I am suing in civil court, and had left that business and parked elsewhere. The business had contacted the police stating I made a disturbance and drove away. The police "found" me in my car, alleging I was intoxicated. The keys were not found, and no officer witnessed me driving. They arrested me per 40300.5 and took a statement from the witness. The witness did not write nor sign the statement, rather, the officer transcribed at a later time what the witness had told them. I have a feeling the testimony may be able to be sticken because I'm suring the witnesses employer, and they have a vested interest in said employers welfare since they are a manager....cont in addl info....
It sounds like you've got it all figured out.
I was charged for a regular DUI (misdemeanor) in July this year, and my court hearing should be finished in Jan 2014. I am wondering if I have to wait till the 3-year probation is fulfilled before applying for US citizenship? If so, can I still apply for US citizenship if I file a Re-entry permit so that I can go back to my country, potentially to work? I will most likely keep working in my country, but, on the other hand, I don't want to give up on my green card. Any tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.

My DUI case has (most likely) been rejected by the DA. Is there an attorney that can (at a reasonable cost) represent my DMV...
hearing? I've accumulated some defenses and case law that should help the hearing. Being that the DA rejected the case, I believe the DMV hearing will be easier than first thought.
Call around to a few different lawyers. Most will not provide quotes over the phone, but do provide free consultations.
