After a second DUI, what is the difference in terms of getting my license reinstated vs. a restricted driving permit?
My formal hearing is upcoming to try to get my license back. I'm wondering how hard it is to get my license reinstated vs. just receiving a restricted driving permit. If I receive a restricted driving permit, how long does it take to get my license fully reinstated? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Most likely your best outcome is a restricted permit. Permit will be granted for one year. You can request...

The following incidents happened in Chicago, IL Pulled Over For Tinted Windows. Police Officer told me to step out of my vehicle and I complied. He then asked me for drivers license and I told him I did not have it. My drivers license is currently suspended. He then placed me in his squad car. There were two other passengers in my vehicle and he told them to start walking home. Police report indicates: -Very Strong Smell of Burnt Canabis Was Noticed On Person And In Breath of Driver and Red Glossy Eyes. -Driver Could Not Produce Valid Drivers License Driver Refused Chemical Testing When the officer asked him if I would be willing to submit to chemical testing the driver responded "No Comment". All of this was being recorded in the squad. Are those two words the same as refusal
You did not agree or submit. Therefore you refused.
I was cited for public intoxication in Burbank. 9-36 is the ordinance number. I know it is not a crime, but what is the maximum punishment and what can happen in court?
It sounds like you were issued a local ordinance ticket, which would typically be a fine-only offense. Most likely,...
I got arrested for a DUI & Following to closely. I was diving a motorcycle and following my acquaintances because I did not know my way around that city. The officer went on to administer FST's which he stated that I failed. When he gave me the PBT it made me cough because I vomited not 15 minutes before they arrested me. (I did not mention I vomited but I have witness that can attest to this) On the sword statement, he said I refused to provide sample; however, on the sworn statement he put that my PBT read 0.163. Whilst in jail, I vomited again so they did not give me breathalyzer. And had to pee really bad so the officer ended up not taking a urine sample. (He said wait till you provide sample to pee.) While I was in my holding cell - I asked for a blood test. Which they didnottake
Winning a DWI case outright is always difficult, even with great issues to contest, due to the nuances of the DWI laws...
