Staff report A Charlotte man has been charged with fleeing from highway patrolmen after a car chase in downtown Lincolnton on Wednesday. Trooper B. Black with the State Highway Patrol arrested Jonathan Leonard McCorkle, 40, of 7409 Icon Way, and charged him with felony fleeing to elude and more than a dozen other traffic charges. Comment?

Investigators say Reginald Duncan Anderson, 25, of 3021 Brady Hoffman Road in Lincolnton, met the woman, with whom he has been in a relationship, at her house on Gail Avenue in Gastonia. He threatened her there with a gun, arrest warrants state. Comment?

Lincolnton police chief Rodney Jordan addressed city officials with a presentation on Friday that showed fiscal efficiency and a clear vision for future needs within his department during a budget and planning workshop to help identify department issues facing Lincolnton in 2015-16. Jordan showed efficiency in the field and six offenses showed decreases from 2013 to 2014 including aggravated assaults, larceny, vehicle break-ins and auto theft, for an overall 8 percent improvement. Staff report A Mecklenburg County man has been accused by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office of stealing a car and credit cards from a Lincolnton woman. Thadeus Lamar Davis, 34, of 945 N. College Street in Charlotte, was charged with six felony counts of possession of stolen goods, five felony counts of financial card transaction and one felony count of larceny, for allegedly taking a 1993 Honda Accord that had several credit cards inside from a residence on Cooper Road, said Larry Seagle, public information officer with the Sheriff's Office. Comment?
