No you can't, since the conviction happened in 2013. You have to wait until 5 years after the conviction date (so 2018)...

We are hosting an event at our house and will be serving alcohol to it. We do card everyone that comes to get a beer and also provide wrist bands. We are also taking out event insurance with a liquor liability included in it. Is there anything else that we can do to cover ourselves in case of an accident. Can we have people sign a form saying we are not responsible for accidents?
First of all, I do not practice law in your state, so my answer is not legal advice, just my thoughts on how I would...
My husband drives my car drunk without permission. Since the car is in my name, is there anything I can legally do to stop it?
I'm usually asleep when he leaves the house drunk and he drives my car. I would like to take some form of legal action to stop it, short of calling police on him. He's also in the military, therefore, a DUI could end his career.
You need to get a therapist for your husband rather than a lawyer for yourself. I recommend that you hide the keys...
DUI in Kansas. Before license was suspended, he got license in another state. Now in a 3rd state and license needs renewed.
my son was convicted of driving under the influence in Kansas. Before his license was suspended and he was convicted, he surrendered it and got a license in another state where he was moving for school. He is now residing in a third state and his license is up for renewal on his birthday this year. Will he be able to get a valid license in the new state without having to get the interlock device ordered with conviction in Kansas?
Under the interstate agreement about licensing, your son should have to comply with any restrictions or requirements...
My husband has a restricted drivers license due to a dui, can he wait another year without an interlock and get a license?
My husband has had 1 DUI. He got suspended for a year and is now in a restricted license. We haven't been able to get him a vehicle to put the interlock in. But when we check the status of his license it says he's restricted and must have the interlock but he has a fulfillment date of October 2015. Can he just wait til the end of the date and get a normal license again without getting the interlock system? Or will he have to get an interlock no matter what? Thanks for the help!
I am not licensed in Kansas, but this question comes up quite a bit in California, where I am licensed. Usually, a...
My question is about IID time period.
I got my first and only DUI. Going on almost 5 years or so ago. I finished my probation and classes. Was cleared by the courts. But i dont have a car. And haven't had the money for one. Let alone for the IIDto be iinstalled plus the monthly fee. My question is there any limit of time for the need of a IID to stop? Or could i go another 50 years where i cant get my license back u ntill i get a car and install an IID to it for a year. Seems harsh. Since its been over 4 years since i was cleared for my Dui by the courts and i haven't drove in all of that time.
Yeah, I don't know any way to get out of the time requirement. Sorry man.
Regarding being misinformed by my lawyer about my license after my second DUI.
I am in KS. I resently plead to my second DUI. My lawyer told me my license was still good until the conclusion of my drivers license hearing. I was pulled over today and told my license was suspended March 27th because I had plead guilty. I was also told the drivers license hearing was a separate issue and that my license can be suspended twice. Can I do anything about my lawyer misinforming me in this issue?
that might make a good defense to the suspended license charge, i.e., acting under incorrect legal advice. I hate to...
