i was leaving a bar with my friend after a few drinks when an officer pulled me over accusing me of swerving. it was a dark, curvy, road with pretty heavy winds and i was driving with the windows down so i feel that may have been how he determined i was swerving. honestly, i was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and i know the officer profiled me knowing i probably just left the bar, leaving on a local road. even though i felt i performed well in the field sobriety test, he arrested and booked me into the county jail. i declined the breathalyzer test knowing i'd lose my license for 6 months because i felt that even though i wasn't incoherent, i could be over the .08 limit and didn't want to incriminate myself. i plan on finding a lawyer but i'm a broke college student. thanks!
You may have defenses and should contact a local attorney to review the facts of your case. Based on your description...
I meet with my probation officer for the first time in 2 weeks I do not know my conditions yet if the judge did not request random UA's will i be getting drug tested and if my probation officer request a urine sample my first meet can I get Introuble if my first sample is dirty I was on supervised release for the time inbetween I had a possession of marijuana charge that was dropped in the same case.
Simply put, yes. However, your probation officer will more than likely use your first UA sample as a baseline. As long...
I met a man at a Bar and he bought my drinks. He asked me to go home with him to have sex and I agreed. We were both drunk. He followed me home to drop my car off and asked me to drive his car to his house. He asked me to stop for more beer, when I did , cops came up, told me that vehilce was reported weaving ,when the call went in it was him driving . I had a suspended license on top of that. I went to jail and he ditched me from helping me. Can I sue him for knowing I was drinking and asking me to drive his car? This happenned in Florida. We were both seen at the bar together because someone from the bar reported him drunk but I got arrested instead of him. I know I was wrong for agreeing to drive but the call was made on him, not me. Do I have any recourse on him as he knew I was drunk?
I do not think so. You elected to drive on your own volition knowingly. No one forced or coerced you to drive in that...
I was issued a DUI in Maryland back in May. Since then I accepted the suspension of my MD license, moved to Florida for work, and am nearly complete on my outpatient program that I was ordered to complete at my court hearing as part of my probation before judgement (PBJ). I am now trying to obtain a FL license so when I ordered my driving record from MD weeks after court, I saw that the DUI was not on it. I want to be truthful to the license office but also not shoot myself in the foot (and have to do additional classes). What do I do?
Is the DUI not on it at all, or does it say you were arrested, but not adjudicated?
I'm not sure about MD law, but...
