at 11:30 pm i was pulled over by a state trooper for suspicious driving (I stopped at a green light with my turn signal on). I did not know the area as i've never been there, two people in the car were from there and one told me to turn while the other told me to go straight (which is why i stopped) I've got a clean record not even a ticket. I had smoked earlier that day but was no longer affected the trooper smelled weed and ended up searching my car finding a used bowl. It was someone elses in the car but when he asked whose it was i was so scared i said mine. i also had trouble counting on the sobriety test but i'm bad with numbers because i have mild dislexyia and it was cold out so i was shaking. I'm a college student and i was three hours away from my campus in Hardin county, OH

I have been ordered to serve 3 days in jail for a "driving under a 12 point suspension." The date that I am to appear is Friday, December 12th. Since the hearing, I have obtained a new job which will require me to work that weekend. At my orientation, I was informed that time off should be scheduled no less than 30 days in advance so that adequate help can be scheduled to cover for me. I also have scheduled visitation with my children on said weekend. Is there any way that I could get this rescheduled until after the first of the year and, if so, how would one go about requesting this change?
Ask your lawyer to file a motion with the court requesting an extension of your surrender date.
I was driving home after a party where I had been drinking. However, I drove home because I knew that I was functioning perfectly fine. I was pulled over for reasons having to do with my tail light. The cop said he could smell alcohol, and asked me to get out of the car. I did so, and passed every test with flying colors until the breath test. I blew a .07 so we went to the station and I blew a .06, under the normal legal limit. He gave me a ticket with an OVI and tail light charge. This is my first offense. I am a first year Engineering student. My high school record was spotless. I was heavily involved in Church and community service organizations. I would like to find a way to turn this charge into something different, a traffic violation perhaps.
You need to hire an attorney ASAP. You also need to stop admitting facts online. OVI limits are significantly less for...
Pulled over and taken into Mansfield OH to blow a breath test, blew 0.094. Upon investigating, they found out my license was still suspended from a DUI in Indiana in 2012 where I used to live, but my lawyer at the time (who since has been disbarred) told me that it had been taken care of and reinstated after fines and probation. I have to appear at court in 7 days, I just got a job that doesn't start til next week, and I have very little money after having moved here about a month ago. I just want to know if jail time is likely or if it will just be fines, because I really can't swing a lawyer in a week, but I also don't want to lose my new job and have to start all over again with no license. I know I have a problem with drinking, and I'm ready to get help.
Hiring an attorney may make a difference. After all, right now the second case has not been proven yet and you are...
