Ida Grove Law

This is my first DUI and I have no other arrrests of any kind. I have contacted the only 4 local attorneys I can find that handle DUI cases and have called and left messages for them each twice over the last 10 day. My court date is in 2 days and I still haven't been able to schedule even a consultation. My case is not complicated, I am polite and respectful in my messages, and I am able to pay any fee's associates with hiring an attorney. What am i missing? I don't want to face this charge on my own.
There is a good chance the preliminary hearing will not take place because the county attorney's office will file a...
and is it better on Monday or Thursday.. just to be succeful
It is better to go early morning as they are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis
1st offense DUI occurred 6/2010. Conviction date 11/2010. Was placed on informal 24 month probation. Arrested for 2nd offense DUI 7/2012. Have file motion to suppress based on officer had no grounds to pull me over. DA is trying to coerce me into pleading guilty to 2nd offense or I will be subjected to heavy penalty for the probation violation. If my motion to supress is successful can this be used to have the probation violation charge dismissed?
What is the violation upon which the probation revocation is based? If it is something arising out of the 7/12 DUI...
I work in bars as a DJ and a Karaoke host. Is there anyway I can still do this? My probation officer says no. But this is my JOB! I'm supposed to quit my job and still pay my fines? I have no problem with not drinking while Im there, but I still need my job. Any suggestions?
At least at this point, your boss is your PO; if he/she will not permit it under the circumstances then you must comply...
In Jan 2012 I was in a alchol related accendent. We hit another car and FLIPPED downed a 25ft incline. I apparently said I was driving, I had broke the window out with my head also lost control of my bowels. The driver nor the wittness that pulled us from the wreck have not been questioned by a lawer or the police. The county atty wants me to plead guilty to public intox, but carry the plenty of a OWI my lawter now thinks I should take it. I feel I have already paid by the night in jail and the fact that this DWI will be on my driving record for the next 12 years. I have never been in trouble and that night we had just went to dinner after being sick all week and taking meds with alchoal. The county atty knows I was not driving also the magerstat the sheriff office also knows.
If the DOT has not already revoked your driving privileges for a test failure or refusal, then a plea to public...
I was arrested for DUI First Offense, BAC 0.146, no accident or injury and preparing for my court date. I have a relatively clean criminal history which includes shoplifting, MIP of Tobacco, and simple assault as a minor (a few bad decisions and a school yard scuff on my part) and a speeding ticket as an adult. I do not believe my juvenile records are sealed. With my history, would I qualify for a deferment?
Deferrals on DUIs are rare. Consult in person with a local defense attorney.
From what I gather, the arresting officer has 45 days to file and if it's not filed, the charges are dropped. Is this true?
If you were placed under arrest for OWI, then the state must file a trial information within 45 days. The remedy for...
