At least one law enforcement officer shot and killed a Choctaw County man after the man opened fire at officers, injuring a sheriff's deputy and a Hugo police officer, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported Thursday. The Choctaw County Sheriff's Office was called to a home about 5:30 a.m. on a report of a man shooting at neighbors. As officers approached Joseph Potts' house, Potts started firing shots from inside his home. Comment?

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a man was killed and two law officers were wounded in a shootout in southeast Oklahoma. The OSBI says 51-year-old Joseph Potts was killed shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday near the town of Rufe. Comment?

According to CBS affiliate KXII , the incident happened when officers from several agencies were in the process of making an arrest in the unincorporated town of Rufe, Oklahoma. Officers from Choctaw County Sheriff's Department, the Hugo Police Department, and a couple of Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents assisted, KXII reported. Comment?
