Florida parking meter supplier George R. Levey pleaded guilty Wednesday to bribing Portland's former parking manager with checks and golf, gambling and vacation trips in exchange for steering multimillion-dollar city contracts to his businesses. Portland's former parking manager, Ellis K. McCoy, 63, has been cooperating with the federal government and would have testified against Levey had the case gone to trial, Assistant U.S. Attorney Seth D. Uram said in court. Comment?

Skamania County authorities on Sunday recovered a handgun believed to have been used in a weekend shooting at the Hood River Marina. Parkdale resident Tyson Sackett, 28, is accused of first-degree assault after police say he fired multiple shots at 60-year-old Mark Wright while Wright sat in a vehicle at the Hood River Marina. Comment?

Parkdale resident Tyson Sackett, 28, is charged with first-degree assault after police say he fired multiple shots at another 60-year-old Mark Wright while Wright sat in a vehicle at the Hood River Marina. Several of the shots hit Wright, who drove himself into downtown Hood River before he was transported by life flight to a Portland area hospital. Comment?
