I had 3 yrs back up for that in 06. I just found out last week. I am thinkin of going back to md and turn myself in, i currently reside in Nevada. any suggestions?? please
You need to hire counsel in Maryland to research the warrant status of your case and potentially quash or kill the...
In March 2006, I received a DUI in the state of Maryland. I had just moved to Maryland and still possessed my PA drivers license. In April 2006, I applied to Maryland and received my Maryland Drivers license, and surrendered my license to Maryland. I went to renew my Maryland License last week, and was denied. I was instructed to call Penn Dot. I found that I never served my 1 year suspension of my license and could not renew. Penn Dot says I must now serve this suspension. Penn Dot claims that I never sent them the Acknowledgement of Suspension form. I Informed them I never received it. They said too bad. I also asked them to verify where they may have sent it. After some digging, I found that they indeed DID NOT send it to any of my last three addresses. Not the one previous to my DUI, the current, and obviously not the latter. My question is, IS this fair? Is there no way to get around going without my license for a year knowing they DID NOT send my the necessary information nearly 5 years ago to get this rectified? Many thanks for your time and I am sorry to bother whoever reads this. I am terribly frustrated and am sick of state governments, "doing no wrong". My wife is a cop, and She even says that this is right.
It definitely isn't fair. I would contact a PA lawyer who does a lot of DUI work.
My boyfriend was arrested for DUI/DWI and driving on a suspended over a month ago. (he actually was not drunk/hadn't been drinking, i swear). They took him to the station, he signed some papers and then the officer brought him home. Shortly after he recieve a court date for the driving on a suspended but not the DWI/DUI. I checked court records on line and they have the DWI/DUI listed as active but with no court date. Why? What should he do, we don't want to ask the court and remind them in case they just forgot
He needs to get a lawyer. He also needs to appear for all court dates. So he needs to show up for the suspended driving...
He has two court dates one in June for Violation of probation - another in July for the DUI. As a mother I am just curious as to what to expect from this. Did I mention he has be in Jail since the last incident that happened in March.
You or your son need to contact an attorney (preferably one who concentrates on DUI defense). Your son is facing...
The only reason I was unable to get pbj at the trial was due to a Federal DUI conviction (US Park Police - I-295) on my record from 2007 which carried 0 points and was not sent to MVA. The judge said she would reconsider granting pbj based upon completion of 6 months of supervised probation, and 26 weeks of drug/alcohol classes. Now MD MVA is trying to suspend my license for another 180 days (currently half way through initial 180 day suspension) based upon the 8 points connected to the conviction, however if pbj granted 0 points on my license. All legal parties seemed very confused by Federal DUI and I fall in some legal grey area for probation before judgment. I am unable to join interlock program since I no longer own or have access to a vehicle. What can I expect at MVA hearing?
You should speak with an attorney. It is possible to have the MVA hearing delayed, but certain paperwork must be filed...
Had a BAC barely over .08, Good grades including academic awards, have some good letters of recommendation, a completely clean driving and arrest record, did well on sobriety test. I simply had a few beers and hadn't had dinner. I will be starting alc edu classes very soon to have most of it done by the court date. Is there any way to have one of these expunged anymore? I know laws have gotten much stricter in regards to these kinds of offenses.
DUI's cannot be expunged. You really should speak with a lawyer.
