A Hazleton man convicted of dragging a woman by the neck to an isolated spot between two buildings, where he raped her, was sentenced Monday to serve between 13.8 years to 30A1 2 years in state prison. Bryant X. Peguero, 31, of 589 Alter St., Hazleton, was convicted at trial in May of charges of rape, stalking, aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest, possession of a designer drug and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. A woman who a Luzerne County jury said was raped by Bryant Peguero told a judge Monday she relives her attack every day. It's been more than two years when Peguero, 31, of Alter Street, Hazleton, approached and knocked a woman unconscious, and dragged her in a vacant lot in Hazleton where he repeatedly raped her on June 16, 2012. A Freeland man allegedly held a loaded shotgun to the faces of three people inside his home Saturday night, refusing to let them leave his residence. Terence M. O'Donnell, 26, of 922 Centre St., then brought the same weapon - a Savage single shot 12 gauge rifle - outside where he fired a round into the street, hitting a property at 925 Centre St., before entering his neighbors home at 924 Centre St., where he pointed it at two different victims, arrest papers state. 4 comments
