I was charged with 148 (a) PC in 11/1996. I completed my required court order requirements and got off probation for that case. I procrastinated getting my US Citizenship because I was afraid of denial for that case in 1996. However, I got into some more trouble in 2008 and 2009 with two consecutive DUIs that included a probation violation. I am currently on probation and have completed 36 mos of the 48 imposed by the court. I want to apply for citizenship but want to make sure I'm off probation when I do so. I would like to request an expunction for my case in 1996, but I don't know if the fact that I still have 12 mos left in my probation will be a cause for the court to deny my petition. My green card is up for renew in 2014 and I would rather apply for citizenship instead. Thanks.
Finish your probation, then apply.
I was charged with my second offence in 2009 and since I have not gotten in trouble. Could I bring this to court and request an early release. I want to apply for citizenship and being on probation will affect my case. My green card is up for renew in 2014 and I would rather apply for citizenship instead. Thank you.
you can absolutely request in early termination of probation and based on what you written here you have really good...
In 2008, I pleaded no contest to two separate cases. The first was a misdemeanor domestic violence conviction and the second was a DUI with BAC of .10. I am just about to finish my Master's degree and will be over $60k in debt and I'm starting to get nervous about the possibility of never being able to pursue the profession. Both convictions were dismissed early because I quickly completed all the terms of my probation. Will the state refuse my application for a license, especially with the nature of my convictions?
Like all California licensing agencies, the Board of Behavioral Science has the right to deny a professional license to...

Minor accident occurred involving a motorcyclist- his injuries amounted to a scrape on his elbow. Nonetheless an ambulance was called to the scene, and the city wants to change me $500+ for it. The charge says it's because of a dui but I was never convicted of a dui.
you should forward it to your auto insurance carrier.
This is my 2nd DUI and I have had the interlock device for 1.5 years already with no violations or failed tests.I am taking HCG diet drops and was not aware of the alcohol content (20% ethyl alcohol). I took the drops while I was driving before dinner and the ignition interlock beeped, so like usually I blew, but the LED read VIOLATION. It then read VIOL##### and then kept on going ###### until in less than 2 minutes it asked me to test again ( I was already driving- car had been started about 45 minutes earlier, I was on the freeway on my way home), I re-tested and PASSED and PASSED an hour later into the drive and passed again in the morning. Would that go to DMV and the Court as a violation? Should I be preparing for the worst?
Unfortunately this will likely get messy for you. My first and most important words of wisdom are DO NOT TALK TO THE...
My fine is $500, so I am guessing with penalty and assessments it would come out to $3000, if I am not mistaken. How much jail time am I looking at if I want to convert the $3000 into jail time in Los Angels County Jail? Thank you all in advance
Do you know if it has been charged as a misdemeanor or a felony? Typically, a third time DUI is between $1,800-$2,...
