I was at a party and wanted to leave so I made my friends give me my keys and I tried to back out of the drive way but ended up stuck half way in their ditch because of the snow. The cops came and busted the party and I got taken to the police station and the officer said he was going to recommend it to be taken for 6 months. but I'm 16 years old and this is my first offense. How high is the risk that it will be taken until I'm 18?

I live in Iowa and am 16 turning 17 in july and I got charged with an owi first offence but the judge gave me 2 classes I need to comeplete and so many hours of community service. My probation officer said that once I complete the classes and the community service, my owi will be taken off my record. The letter I got from the DOT says I cannot get my license back until I'm 18 but if the owi is taken off my record before then is it possible to get it back after that happens?

My daughter is 16 and was caught drinking at a party. She attempted to leave, but drove her car in the ditch while she was trying to back out. So technically she was not caught drinking and driving but she admitted to driving it into the ditch while she was intoxicated. The cop that came to the party took her license and now she has to go to court. What can we expect for the fine and will she have to wait until she is 18 to get her license back?
