The fugitive girlfriend of alleged habitual offender Paul Woychio is continuing to thwart prosecution efforts to have him involuntarily committed, with a magistrate judge on Tuesday threatening to dismiss robbery charges against him if prosecutors can't produce her in court within two weeks. Woychio, of Duryea, has evaded prosecution for 15 years because he has been deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial. Comment?

Prosecutors on Wednesday sought to have habitual offender Paul Woychio committed to a mental health facility because he is incompetent to stand trial, while an effort to revoke his bail in seven pending cases hit a snag because prosecutors have been unable to find his girlfriend. Woychio, 43, has evaded prosecution for more than 15 years because a judge ruled him incompetent to stand trial. Comment?

MORRISTOWN - A 47-year-old Pennsylvania man was under the influence of cocaine, or a cocaine "metabolite," when he crashed a van on Route 80 in Mount Olive, killing one person and injuring two others, according to a Morris County assistant prosecutor. Jose Almanzar of Scranton was arrested by State Police this week on one count of vehicular homicide and two counts of assault by auto in the crash that occurred on Thanksgiving night in 2013. Comment?
