The state rested its capital murder case against accused killer Lee Turner Jr. on Sunday after a jury watched him in a videotaped interrogation admit that he fatally shot two CarQuest Auto Parts workers during an afternoon robbery on March 27, 2011, and spent some of the stolen money on his girlfriend that night. During the 11-hour interrogation the day after the killings, East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's detectives Sonya Harden and Leonardo Moore informed Turner that they found a wad of cash in his bedroom and bank bags and CarQuest deposit slips in a garbage can outside the Ritterman Avenue home where he lived with his uncle.

We where hit by a drunk driver in june.
my husband was hit by a drunk driver (who was arrested and charged). we turned in our health insurance info when we took him to the hospital and he was fine. he had some soreness and a small cut on his arm for the glass. before the health insurance company paid the bill was $24,000 and some change. after they paid the hospital wants a $9,000 and some change. what kind of settlement should we expect? my husband was in a company truck and they have already settled up. we had to wait for all the bills to come.
We need far more information. For example why such a large bill for such minor injuries? You really should retain a...
Can someone be charged with public intoxication if they were not given a sobriety test or a breathalyzer?
Long story short, my brother in law ( who is 20) got drunk and got into a fight at a bar and got thrown out. He was arrested and spent 3 days in jail before being bailed out ( not by me because I have more sense than that.) They are charging him with. Public intoxication, Resisting an officer, Re-entering a premises after it was forbidden, disturbing the peace, and public intimidation. He came by today and said he is suing the parish because he was never given a sobriety test or a breathalyzer ( although he does admit to drinking, and he is underage) I laughed. But still wonder if he can be charged with the public intoxication etc?
He's suing the parish? Yeah right. Talk is cheap. No attorney would touch that lawsuit since it has no merit. Have...
Can I be found guilty for driving while taking suboxone prescribed to me ? Long story short, drug cops searched my husbands car
They also searched my home and found nothing, I was in store 15 min ,a man told me my 26 yr old son was unresponsive in my car, I went to car, and it turned out they were drug cops in plain clothes, there was 4 of them, Turned out they lied about my son, then said someone reported seeing my car swerving, then all 4 said I smelled of alcohol, (I blew 0.00) ,they all apparently lied about smelling alcohol on my breath and the car could be anyones because they didn't see me drive
Depends if they found drugs in your system, but yes, you can be convicted of a DUI with only prescription medication in...

I was arrested and charged with my 2nd DWI but refused to take the breath test. so the 1st judge court ordered me to install this box in my car. The 2nd judge said that the 1st judge didn't sign it at the time it was ordered which was in December. Plus I haven't been arraigned as of yet.
Talk to your attorney. If you do not have an attorney, hire one. I am not clear if the second judge's comment...
