I successfully completed my duii diversion as of January 2014. Can i get my concealed handgun permit?
On my local sherrif website it says that anyone who has recently completed a court ordered division program for any controlled substance cannot apply. Would alcohol fall under this the text reads... 166.291(1)(L), not be convicted of an offense involving controlled substances or completed a court-supervised drug diversion program. (Note: if you intend to investigate having a charge expunged, please be aware that the eligibility requirements to obtain an expungement vary from state to state..i was also cited for a misdemeanor but this was dropped to a violation of crime and I just had to pay a fine
I cannot tell you definitively whether you personally are eligible for a concealed handgun as it could depend on other...

Will an ongoing DUI diversion, or a pending (not yet at trial) misdemeanor show up on an employment background check?
I've completed all diversion requirements except having an interlock device in my vehicle for 1 year (installed, but a year has not passed yet). There is an additional related misdemeanor charge that won't go to trial for 7 months. Will either or both of these show up on a background check from a potential employer? Thanks,
It is very possible that it will. It depends on what service the potential employer uses for conducting background...

Received first MIP last night. What happens now in regards to fees, drivers license, parents contacted, & background check?
Hi, I'm 20 years old and will be turning 21 later this year. I'm a student at the University and was at a large house party last night that was shut down by two cops. One cop asked if I drank and I said less than a standard drink that was provided inside. He then performed a vision test with his light & pen. After, he wrote my info down and gave me the MIP. I was very cooperative & not visibly intoxicated. This is my first MIP, and any type of citation or violation with the law. He said I can attend a diversion class and the charge will be wiped off my record. Around how much will the court & class fees be? I'm very tight on money at the moment & don't want my strict parents to find out. I heard in some cases your license can get suspended. At what point does suspension go into effect?
If you had so little alcohol in your system, consider at least speaking to a DUI defense attorney in OR. You want to...
I got a duii while on supervised probation. What can an attorney do for me? I'm thinking I can win the duii in court
Back in November 2013 I pled to Guilty to 2 counts of DV assault 4 felony and 2 counts of tampering with witness and got 61 month downward departure and 3 years supervised probation. I've never had a criminal record prior. I've done above what is required by the court and dhs. Unfortunately, I got a duii last week and I'm thinking that I will have to serve the 61 months now. Is there any way that I can stay out of prison? What is the process? I'm afraid that my probation office will arrest me on the spot and violate my probation.
You should immediately get in touch with the lawyer who helped you previously. They will know the exact terms of your...
